What it does on your clinic's line
- Picks up when you are closed. On the number you already have, nights, weekends and holidays. It only takes the calls you forward to it.
- Sends emergencies onward first. Trouble breathing, collapse or a seizure, suspected poisoning, a male cat straining, a bloated belly: it tells the owner to leave now for the emergency hospital you name, and to call ahead. It never makes up a hospital.
- Takes everything else properly. The owner's name and number, read back, the pet's name, species and age, and what is happening. It is saved and texted to the phone you choose before the owner is told it has gone through, marked URGENT when it is.
- Books the routine visits. Vaccines and check-ups go into Google Calendar, Square Appointments, or the calendar that comes with it. If you book in practice software it does not connect to, it takes the request and you book it.

What it will not do
- It does not diagnose, and it never suggests a treatment, a dose or a home remedy. It is not a vet.
- It never tells an owner that something can wait until morning. That is the vet's call.
- It does not quote. If somebody asks what a visit or a vaccine costs, the clinic tells them.
- It tells callers it is an AI and that the call is recorded, first thing. It will not pretend to be your staff.
HIPAA covers human patients, not pets. What we keep and for how long is on the privacy page: call records, audio and transcripts for 90 days.
