After Hours for HubSpot

Odile Labs After Hours is an AI receptionist that answers your business calls when you cannot. With HubSpot connected, every caller lands in HubSpot as a contact, each call adds a note, and a qualified caller gets a deal.

What it does in HubSpot

  • Before the call: it looks the caller up by phone number, so it can greet a known contact by name.
  • During the call: it can find, create and update the caller's contact.
  • After the call: it adds a note with the call summary to the contact. For a qualified caller it creates one deal; later calls from the same caller add notes, not new deals.
  • New callers are also added as contacts once an hour, with their name and number.
  • You choose which of these run, on the CRM page of your console.

How to connect

  1. Start After Hours: sign up (the first 14 days are free) or sign in to your console.
  2. In the console, open CRM and click Connect with HubSpot.
  3. Sign in to HubSpot, pick your HubSpot account and approve the permissions below.
  4. You are sent back to the console, which shows Connected to HubSpot. Your next call is logged.

Permissions it asks for

  • crm.objects.contacts.read
  • crm.objects.contacts.write
  • crm.objects.deals.read
  • crm.objects.deals.write

Contacts to look callers up and save them; deals to open one deal per qualified caller. Nothing else in your HubSpot: no companies, tickets, emails, lists or settings.

What we store

  • HubSpot's access and refresh tokens, encrypted, tied to your business. They are never shown back, not even to you.
  • Which deal we created for a caller, so a repeat caller does not get a second one.
  • Call records, audio and messages are kept as our privacy policy describes.

How to disconnect

  • In the console, open CRM and click Disconnect. The receptionist stops using HubSpot immediately and the stored tokens are deleted.
  • You can also uninstall the app in HubSpot under Settings, Connected Apps. Data already written to HubSpot stays in your HubSpot.
