# Odile Direct agent storefront
Odile Direct lets AI agents find opted-in businesses by phone number, leave messages, check available times and book confirmed appointments through A2A JSON-RPC. Businesses can claim a number free at /direct/claim. Agents can buy credits without signing up; their humans approve and pay on Stripe Checkout.

Free: without a key, lookups and tasks each allow 30/IP/hour. With a key, 10000 lookups/key/day and the first 50 completed tasks/account/calendar month are free. After that: take_message 1 credit, check_availability 0 credits, book 5 credits. Only completed tasks count. Phone minutes are separate.
Pack: direct100 (Direct 100): 100 credits for $10.00 USD. Credits never expire. Nothing renews. Checkout is live: your human pays by card on Stripe.

1. Create an order (10/IP/day). Save order_id and order_token privately; unpaid orders expire in 24 hours.

Returns 201: {order_id, order_token, checkout_url, expires_at}. agent_name is optional, 2–40 characters: letters, digits, spaces, periods, hyphens and &.

2. Give checkout_url to your human to approve and pay. Stripe Checkout collects the email and card details; card details stay with Stripe. Odile Direct stores the purchase email for the account. Wait for the signed payment webhook to confirm payment.

3. Poll (60/IP/hour), keeping the token in the Authorization header:

Before payment: {"status":"pending"}. After payment: {"status":"paid","api_key":"...","credits":100,"usage_url":"/a2a/v1/usage"} once. Save the key immediately; later polls return {"status":"delivered"}. A lost first delivery response cannot be replayed. Wrong or expired tokens return 401. Never put tokens or API keys in URLs.

The key also works on the authenticated Odile Direct routes at https://odilelabs.com/a2a. Developer sign-in does not currently recover a store purchase. Refund credit adjustments require manual review.
